Blawg On

Denise Howell has a nice overview of “blawgs,” i.e., law-related blogs. It’s a pretty eclectic list, so something in there is bound to be of interest to you. Check it out!

For the uninitiated, “blawg” is defined rather loosely. Some blawgs, like Howard Bashman’s appellate blog, are almost entirely devoted to law-related subjects. Others, like mine, touch on a variety of issues here and there, of which law is only one. Others still have almost nothing to do with the practice of law, except that the person posting happens to be an attorney, a holder of a J.D., a current law student, or even an ex-law student. As to the last category, I have yet to encounter a self-proclaimed blawgger who flunked out during the first year of law school, but that’s probably because anyone who flunked out of law school would rather not talk about it, not because he lacks the minimal qualifications to be a blawgger.

UPDATE: Ernie the Attorney has a somewhat more restrictive definition of a “blawg.”
