Germany’s Top Idiot-Aryan
Recently, a poll showed that one-third of all Germans below the age of 30, and 20% of Germans of all ages, believed the U.S. orchestrated the 9-11 attacks. A number of bloggers, most prominently Rachel Lucas, covered the story pretty thoroughly. I emailed a friend of mine in Hamburg, who I was confident was part of the other 80%, and asked if there had been a recent crack epidemic in his country that didn’t get reported here.
The response I got did not address crack, per se. It did, however, contain a link to a Der Spiegel article on a former politician, Andreas von B

While i’m not sure that it’s worth the effort of putting my credit card information in, it’s very cool that der Spiegel will sell you articles for only 40 cents each. This is exactly how micropayments should work.

Damn, when I started working on it, the article was free. I guess new Der Spiegel articles are free, but old ones are a pay service. Oh well.
