It’s the Economy, Stooopid
Just a few weeks ago, all those lying liars on the right told us that the economy had grown 7.2% last quarter. It didn’t. It grew by 8.2%. Good thing we have Paul Krugman to keep reminding us how badly our boom-to-bust economy has unravelled over the past three scandalous years.

As a percentage of GNP that’s not even close to the largest-ever deficit, and is pretty much in line with other post-recession periods.

It can’t be all bad - look how pissed off the Dems are about it. $400 billion is a small price to pay for getting Nancy Pelosi’s panties in a bunch.

They’d be even more pissed if we repealed medicare or fired a ton of government union employees, and that would save us money.
