It’s the Economy, Stooopid

Filed under:   by Xrlq @ 11:18 am

Just a few weeks ago, all those lying liars on the right told us that the economy had grown 7.2% last quarter. It didn’t. It grew by 8.2%. Good thing we have Paul Krugman to keep reminding us how badly our boom-to-bust economy has unravelled over the past three scandalous years.

And a 480 Billion dollar deficit for “04″.

    CBO Estimate

  2. Xrlq Says:

That’s what the Dems are praying for, anyway. I wouldn’t count on it, though, unless spending goes up at an even faster pace.

The return of Letter of the Day, amen! L is for Language school. As in, I like this story, so…

  4. Kevin Murphy Says:

As a percentage of GNP that’s not even close to the largest-ever deficit, and is pretty much in line with other post-recession periods.

  5. The Angry Clam Says:

$400 BILLION for welfare entitlements for old people.

    THANKS, REPUBLICANS!

  6. Xrlq Says:

It can’t be all bad - look how pissed off the Dems are about it. $400 billion is a small price to pay for getting Nancy Pelosi’s panties in a bunch.

  7. The Angry Clam Says:

They’d be even more pissed if we repealed medicare or fired a ton of government union employees, and that would save us money.

W is spending more money on useless crap than Clinton. Ugh.
