Don’t Watch This.

Filed under:   by Xrlq @ 12:10 am

No, that heading is not a lame attempt at “reverse psychology.” The object is not to get you to click the link at the end of this message, but rather, to convince you not to do so unless you are among those who really need to see it. If you were as thoroughly disgusted as I was upon reading or hearing about the sub-animal scum who beheaded Nick Berg, and are not trying to decide whether or not to mirror his decapitation on your own site, then there is no earthly reason for you to watch it on video.

I repeat: if you don’t own a web site, and you are solidly behind the government’s efforts to stamp out terror in Iraq and throughout the Middle East, there is no earthly reason why you should watch this video. Watching it will – or, at least, should – make you physically sick. So don’t. If you get some sick pleasure out of this stuff, rent the latest “Faces of Death” video instead.

If, on the other hand, you are still on the fence as to the war on terror, or you think it may have gone too far, or you think we should have stayed out of Iraq and should withdraw as soon as possible, well, this video is for you. You won’t enjoy watching this, trust me on that, but for your own good and that of the free world, you should watch it anyway. It is my sincerest hope that after you view it, you will never again ask “why do they hate us,” and ask instead “why don’t they fear us?”

  1. The Angry Clam Says:

It didn’t make me physically ill. Mostly, it made me want to do the same thing to those guys.

Then again, I often extol the virtues of Roman civilization and foreign policy as compared to our wimpy American ones, so that probably shouldn’t be too surprising.

  2. mike lafosse Says:

why do they hate us? billionsGIVEN to the jews… our presence in saudi… our lack of backbone in terms of fairness reguarding isreal’s occupation this bullshit war and thats just for beginners

  3. Xrlq Says:

Mike, you’re an idiot and a racist one to boot. I almost deleted your comment, but then thought it better to keep it around, to use as Exhibit A the next time some moron claims that Israel-bashing isn’t anti-Semitic.

  4. ian Says:

it was pretty bad, but no worse than seeing the photos of jose menedez with a shotgun blast to his face. and we remade helter skelter thrice and aired it last week. rubberneckers on the highway looking for guts and blood.

  5. Gregg Says:

I struggled to watch it, but I did and was shocked. I was reborn and assured that we have to take great measures in taking down these murderers! I will help if they call me to do so.

  6. Mikkel Sondergaard Says:

Dearest Xrlq, Although Mike Lafosse may be a racist, he is no idiot. The fact is that the US has supported Israel, a Jewish state, in the amount of approx 3 billion annually (US tax dollars) for the past twenty years. http://www.us-israel.org/jsource/US-Israel/U.S._Assistance_to_Israel1.html The only terrorism Saddam Hussein supported were the families of the Palestinians who were killed in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, there never was any link to Al Qaeda. The sadistic murder of Nick Berg is not excusable, but we as Americans cannot claim to be innocent. Only by arguing that a bullet or missile is more human then decapitation could we be exonerated. If nothing else, 9/11 should have woken us up to the effect our foreign policy had on inciting world opinion against us. Go to http://www.cdi.org/ to read what a former commander of the U.S. Central Command thinks about our whole purpose for going to war. “Gen. Anthony Zinni: 10 Mistakes History will Record about War in Iraq”

  7. Xrlq Says:

Mikkel, you’re full of it. The U.S. supports Israel because it’s the only free and democratic country in the region. Your claim that Saddam’s only terror link was to the mass murderers who target Israel is (1) false and (2) meaningless even if it were true. What do you think Abu Nidal was doing in that country? Vacationing? And besides, why should we tolerate international terrorism that targets the only democracy and U.S. ally in a critical region like the Middle East?

And yes, a bullet or missile fired in a war is infinitely more “human” than a deliberate, sadistic beheading of an innocent non-combatant detainee. Frankly, I’m baffled that a point this basic even needs to me made. I suppose I shouldn’t be; after all, half the population is stupider than average.

  8. Seaver Says:

WHERE THE HECK IS THIE VIDEO AT! I CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!

  9. Xrlq Says:

Seaver: to view the video of Nick Berg’s murder, click the link in this entry that reads “Video of Nick Berg’s murder.” Sorry if it’s confusing.

  10. muslim4life Says:

i cant believe what happened to nick berg!!!!!!!!
PATHETIC!!!!! NO-ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!!! AND TO EVEN MAKE IT WORSE THEY ARE #MUSLIMS# TO ALL THE PEOPLE OUT THERE IT IS AGAINST OUR RELIGION TO KILL ANYONE,,,,,,,UNBELIEVABLE…I WATCH THE VIDEO OF THE MURDER OF NICK BERG AND I CRIED UNTIL THERE WERE NO MORE TEARS LEFT IN MY EYES….

  11. laura Says:

i have always been against the war in iraq. and, while this video did make me physically sick, i still think we should stay out of that country. This is all about money and oil, which are one in the same. you cant use 9/11 as fuel for support for this war, because that was a terrorist attack from a rebel group, not an act of war from a country. The people who are responsible for 9/11 werent even in iraq. They were in afganistan. And yes, there are terrorists in iraq. There are groups who hate america. There are people who laughed as they watched the videos of the twin towers burning. But if you want to talk about the murder of the innocent, for every innocent civilian that died on 9/11, two more innocent civilians of iraq died during our first attack.
Also, if bush wants to help a country with serious terrorist problems, why not help liberia, the country where 7 year old junkies carry automatic weapons and castrate farmers to wear their genitals as throphy. i’ll tell you why, because there is no oil in liberia.

  12. Xrlq Says:

Jasmine: Thanks for your comment. We all know that these monsters were not representative of Muslims as a whole, but it still helps to hear Muslims themselves say it out loud.

Laura: I take it you don’t drive a car. Rent one for a week or two. No one who’s filled up a tank in the last month or two can seriously argue that the war in Iraq was “about oil.” If it was, we’d have seized the oil fields, and gasoline in the U.S. would be dirt cheap. It’s all well and good to mourn the dead of any war, but given Saddam’s track record for killing his own people, it’s a near certainty that more Iraqis are alive today than would be today if we had not invaded the country.

  13. crystabell Says:

    so sad

  14. jake Says:

i dont understand how watching this movie would make someone change from “why do they hate us?” to “why do they fear us?” i mean, it is them killing an american, it was intended to proove that they dont fear us. not that they do. and the reason that they hate us is because they disagree with how our country is run, among other things, they hate this “godless capitolist society” and well, if they do fear us isnt it obvious why? we are in a war with their country, and we are killing thusands of people every day.

  15. chad Says:

I just hope Carey doesn’t get elected.

  16. disgusted Says:

I think we should get our people out of there and hunt down the fuckers that did this, cut them up starting with their feet and work our way up as they watch the nick berg video.

  17. Xrlq Says:

Jake, please re-read my comment. No one is asking “why do they fear us?” It is why “don’t they fear us” that we need to be asking.

  18. ed flick Says:

ok you bleeding heart assholes back your country and quit worrying why were over there just get your history books out and you will see why there is war we should blow their fucking ass away and do some real humiliating in the prisons just like they have done to us if you dont think saddam had something to do with 911 your fucking stupid

  19. Patrick Says:

    Whelp,
I remember when i was 4 years old in 1979 watching a News team in Japan shooting film in the streets with the general Japanese public and all of the citizens were making peace signs with thier fingers at the camera ……. the reason why is simple they hadn’t forgotten the wrath of American and it’s peaple that had been unleashed on them a few decades before. “Speak softly , and carry a big stick. ” FDR (I think )We Americans have let our policies with this kind of scum dilute with the help of the UN and the persute of sergical warfare ( exspensive , and not nearly effective ) . Wake UP !!! Peaple will do exactly what you let them do to you . They can say “OMG we don’t all kill we don’t all hate ” , but I garantee that 99.99999999 % of them personaly know millitant terrorist American Killers and have supported thier efforts in one way or the other . I regreatfully have to tell you this Public opinion over there is anti-American the prof —> in the pudding . How can it be effectivly changed ???? Easy . BIG PHAT BOMBS !!!! No loss of american life at all !!!! +++++++ :):):):) , and very cheap $$$$$$$ :):):):) . Then and only then will we get positive result ( Peace signs ) from the Iraqi people . The more we play game with them the more they will with us wake up and get out the big stick ,Tell the UN to piss off , shove that big stick up Iraq’s ass ,whatch CNN or ABC , and nothing but peace signs.

    Patrick

  20. you make me sick Says:

no loss of american life? what makes our lives so much better than theirs? “big phat bombs” arent the answer to anything. and i bet 99.9999% of us know people who have killed people in iraq. human life is still human life. whether it is american or not. that kind of attitude is exactly why so many other countries hate us.
oh and by the way, chad, i hope kerry kicks some ass this election, as for that carey guy you talk about, i have no idea about him….

  21. Patrick Says:

Sick huh ?? why don’t you take a flight over there and help them rebuild thier country ? Maybe you can resume Nick’s job? Our lives better than thiers? Hell yes our lives are … they are a bunch of heathen bastards that have a very low value for human life and they must be taught that Americans have a high value for our lives and countryman ; any infringment on that should have catastrophic consequinces . Do I know Americans that have killed Iraqies ? Yes I do and I don’t think that I ought too know any . Like I stated above BIG PHAT BOMBS would put a end to this quickly and efficiantly , but then certain companies wouldn’t make any $$ and that has alot to do with this . If we dealt with attacks on Americans this way we realy wouldn’t have to worry about how any other countries felt about us especialy thirdworld desert communites because they would be put in thier places . Why don’t you catch a flight to Iraq and stick your fat head in the sand over there so you get your ass shot off and then maybe you will begin to understand that this is for real and needs to be dealt with accordingly ; not like we are in a Hollywood movie or romance novle where every thing is so ” Peachy ” ,and the hero rides off into the sunset with the girl .

  22. Cameron Says:

i think it isnt in everyones best interests to be cinical at this time and realize than inhumanities are created on both sides; the is the reality you cant hide from it, the coalition of the willing arent angels. The video is quite distressing but it should not completely influence anyones opinion, what i see here is ignorance, and putting a molevolent spin on that “ignorance can be strength” (read 1984)i feel that alot of people believe blindly the US ideal for going to war, and they believe that any inhumanities directed towards the coalition of willing and moreover the US is unwarranted, but let me say that there are thousands of iraqies being slaughtered and is this a just cause? i cannot tell, you cannot tell. but it pisses me off when someone responds like kill those $#%@*(^ iraqies because of a single event

  23. Cameron Says:

“Our lives better than thiers? Hell yes our lives are … they are a bunch of heathen bastards that have a very low value for human life and they must be taught that Americans have a high value for our lives and countryman ”

so your implying that that american lives are more valuable? if thats not what your trying to imply, then what the hell are you trying to imply, but hell i shouldnt be shocked at these statements, they are very typical and naive a reflection of the people with close minds.
and dont you think for one damn seconds that i am close minded and one sided also, i am not simplistic and sympathetic to all iraqies, but i am empathetic to the masses that live over there in desolate poverty. yes family members of mine have served and died and i also know an iraqi who escaped imprisonment and persecution from saddam and also was shot 7 times at the age of 17, so im not trying to be high and mighty and pious here but i do have somewhat a more open minded opinion.

    and this
“Like I stated above BIG PHAT BOMBS would put a end to this quickly and efficiantly , but then certain companies wouldn’t make any $$ and that has alot to do with this.”

all human live has to be valued equally otherwise there will be anarki, bit phat bombs; your in the same league with sadam now, that is sadistic. Dont you think for one second the implications of the dinosaur and inhumane approach of more mass bombings, which consider culling of innocent civilians as “colateral damage” another “statistic” its like stirring up a hornets nest, jesus too many stereotypes, just because they live in a very low quality of life in comparison with non 3rd world countries doesnt mean they dont have beautiful minds or are deserving of dignity and humanity, just beacuse they live in shanties doesnt mean they hate the US or are evil simpletons, if anyone says or implies that they are the simpleton. but the problem here is that the individual suffers on both sides of the war, and i dont agree with it; but then again how, where and when can a better solution happen after all war and the instinct to kill and defend rights and beliefs is human nature.

ill finish of by saying that im not in allegiance with either party wholeheartedly, even though being an 16yp australian and having mates in the army, now that i have gave my age and my nationality i hope you dont see myself as ignorant or a “doogooder” or a optimistic ideologist, im far from it im simply trying to make people construct more constructive critiscm and less superficial and ignorant opinions.

  24. Alfred P. Reaud Says:

The Nick Burg video was disgusting, horrifying, and nasty. I watched it through Ogerish.com. However, because somebody doesn’t condone Israeli actions in the Palestine doesn’t make them anti-Semite (they’re all of partial Semite descent in the area of Palestine if you count how closely Jewish, Arab, and Persians have intermingled in the past 4 millennium), nor does it makes you a supporter of terrorism.

We where wrong to invade Iraq, face it. From the tone of some of the posters here though, it sound like neo-Nazism and the Klan is alive and well in the United States. Doesn’t bother me! I know the Iraqis love their children as much as any of us do ours. I know that every time a US military stupid bomb kills one of their children, or other loved ones, another terrorist is born. Every time Israelis demolish more homes in the Palestine, or shoot another 13 year old boy in the head, another terrorist is born.

Just because Israel is the darling of the West, doesn’t mean that we should turn a blind eye to their crimes. We should be stopping terrorism on all fronts, by whoever commits it, whether they are called terrorists or whether they are called a State.

What’s your problem with Mike Lafosse statements, or some of the other statements on this blog who don’t agree with US or Israel policies? We do give about 5 billion a year, approximately, to Israel, we do have a presence in Saudi Arabia, and Israel does occupy the Palestine. Where’s the anti-Semitism in the TRUTH?

To those of you who espouse violence as a means of resolving this issue in the Middle East; please volunteer your sons and daughters to go tote an M16 in Iraq, the Palestine, or Afghanistan. Maybe that would put it in the proper perspective for you. To the rest, worry not, as times are changing, and the human race is trying to evolve from the madness of millenniums of religious based ignorance, repression, and violence. We won’t be Homo Sapiens Celestis until we do leave all that baggage behind.

  25. Xrlq Says:

Alfred, I agree that some of the comments in this thread are out of bounds, on both sides. However, I do not think it follows – at all – that we should have stayed out of Iraq. The situation there leaves plenty to be desired, but it sure as hell beats Saddam Hussein’s reign of terror.

I agree that we should oppose terrorism from all of its sources. I do not agree with your unbased claim that Israel practices “terrorism.” I don’t have any basis for believing that it does, and unless you have some inside scoop on the inner workings of the Mossad, neither do you.

  26. you make me sick Says:

    cameron,
    its spelled anarchy.
but the thought behind your words is great. i think its amazing that young people (including myself) are out here discussing this. i mean, its great what the older people say, they have been through so much more than we have, but in the end it is us that will be having to work and raise our children in the environtment this war creates. visiting this site only reenforces (sp?) my anti-war/ anti-bush position. seeing people talk about america as if it was the holy land, and americans as if we were all perfect can only make me think of the state of germany during world war two. it is those thoughts that made germany believe it should take over the world and kill everyone whose nose was too wide, or whose skin was too dark.
and about being a true patriot thomas jefferson once said something. (this isnt a direct quote, but sums it up nicely) “it isnt patriotic to blindly follow your government, true patriots question your government because they care about their nation”

    down with bush in 04

  27. Alfred P. Reaud Says:

    Xrla,

    To clarify and expound on some of my statements, because I love discourse and dialectic, and write regularly;

Saddam’s reign of terror could have easily been terminated with 3 bullets to the back of his head, Mossad style, which is what he will probably get and justly deserves after his upcoming ‘fair trial’. The same could have happen to his replacement and the next, until they got the message. Do you remember John Bull, the creator of the super-gun, who was terminated in London? A genius, John Bull, but also a threat to the stability of the Middle East.

Saddam will get a trial that will probably be fairer than any that occurred during his regime. However, in my opinion, before America takes on the task of ‘liberating’ foreign countries, America needs to liberate its own people from poverty, hunger, homelessness, lack of education, and lack of medical care. We’ll be a better country for it.

It’s also my position that the Iraq conflict has destabilized the Middle East. We’re seeing attacks against Westerners or those perceived as Westerners in places where it was unheard of. Not only have we pissed off the craziest of the religious radicals in the Middle East, America has also managed to drown decades of good will, like unwanted kittens in a toilet.

Israel, who I actually admire because of their chutzpah, practices a form of terrorism in the Palestine. This claim is not without foundation, it’s actually visible regularly in the media. When an occupying power uses its military might against a mostly unarmed civilian populace, what do you call that? When an Israeli AH-64 shoots a Hellfire missile into a car that is on a packed street, they must know the outcome. The Hellfire missile is a tank buster, and not intended for use against unarmored vehicles. Sure they hit the terrorist and good riddance, as shown horribly on Ogerish.com. But they also hit innocent bystanders such as women, children, and the elderly. When an IDF soldier shoots a 13 year old in the head because that child is throwing stones at a tank or APC, isn’t that unreasonable force. It would be in America. Whatever happened to snatching him up and spanking the crap out of him?

All of these Israeli acts are mediated, again in my opinion, by the mistaken belief that if you make life hard enough for the populace, ‘terrorize’ them if you will, then they will evict and stop supporting originations like Hamas and the al-Asqua Martyrs Brigade. Nothing could be farther from the truth. For one, members of organizations like Hamas and the Martyrs Brigade are armed to the teeth and are a law unto their own. Further, the population believes that the Israelis are occupiers that should be thrown from their lands by any means necessary. So violence against the populace is futile and counterproductive.

This leads to my astonishment at Israeli policies in the Palestine. Haven’t their military leaders read Sun-Tzu? Classical military doctrine is to undercut your enemy from within, by eliminating popular support for him. Attacking the populace directly or indirectly is exactly opposite of this tenant.

I don’t know the answer to the questions in the Middle East, folks. However, I sincerely believe that violence is probably not going to be part of the answer.

  28. Xrlq Says:

Intentionally targeting innocent bystanders is terrorism. Inevitably killing some while targeting mass murderers is not. If it were, the meaning of the word “terrorism” would be so broad it include all warfare, and even some necessary police work. At that point, the word “terrorism” would be useless, as it would include everything and thereofore mean nothing.

America doesn’t need to be “liberated” from poverty, homelessness, or lack of education. We move opportunities for upward mobility here than any other country on the planet. And no one lacks health care. Many lack health insurance, and stick the rest of us with the tab. That’s a problem in itself, but not one that can be solved by expanding the tab to include everyone else. In any event, these domestic issues are completely irrelevant to what we should do abroad.

I often hear liberals complain about the decades of “goodwill” we’ve supposedly squandered. Funny, I don’t remember that goodwill being there to begin with. When I lived in Mexico (1981-82), everything bad that happened was America’s fault. When I lived in Germany (1987-88), Germans trusted the Russian dictator more than the American President, and sided with the Grenadian despot we toppled, and accused us of disrespecting the “democratic” oligarchy that ran Nicaragua. When I lived in Austria (1989-90), same thing. When Manuel Noriega canceled an election he knew he was going to lose, Austrians said nothing. Six months later, when we finally finished the job after he declared war on us, Panamians cheered the end of a brutal regime, while the Austrians protested. So no, I don’t think these countries have our interests at heart; not then, not now, and probably not ever. Our job isn’t to kowtow to them anyway, but to do what we think is best for our interests, and those of the free world at large. Maybe they’ll thank us later, like Germans on Reagan. Or maybe not.

Please explain what land you are referring to as “Palestine.” There is no such country. Are you talking about the occupied terrotories, or the entire state of Israel?

I can tell you this much, though; if a group of thugs tried to liberate “Aztlan” by throwing rocks at American soldiers, blowing up innocent civilians almost daily, and committing all the other atrocities the so-called Palestinians do, we wouldn’t hesitate to use every bit as much force to put them down as the Israelis do to those who seek to “liberate” their country out of existence.

  29. Hank Says:

The Berg execution was brutal to see to say the least of things , but if you ever saw some one hung from a tree , it is just as horrible and graphic. Like turning to your friend and finding him shot by the enemy right in the middle of a conversation. People this is unfortunatly War and War is a horrible nightmare time to be involved in. If you have never been there then I pray you never have to go there. Ponder this thought for a minute and maybe this will give you a little insight into was. You are placed in a situation where there are an infinate amount of people looking to kill you on sight without a moments hesitation. You are in such a sate of fear , aprehention {sp?] doubt and worry , that a friend surpises you bu suddenly coming around a corner and you with just reflex action shoot him dead. Who ever said war is Hell , made a very big understatement. Yes the execution was and is burtal but this is war.

  30. Donnie Says:

When I saw the video of Nick Berg, I saw the planes crashing into the towers again. The deliberate and cold way these things were done are beyond any understanding. These are people who believe that the only way is there way, and that the only way to bring this about is through cleansing. This cleansing is done by destroying all that opose their beliefs. The intolerance and inhumanity shows the savage beliefs of these people. What is really sad is the true Islam is peacefull and respectfull of everyone and everything.

Up to this point we have removed a sadistic dictator from power who’s only desire was to impress and show exactly how much control he had. Saddam cared nothing for the Iraqi people, he was expelled from Saudi Arabia for his radical and militant actions. The nephew of the Saudi King Hussein.

Our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, neighbor and friends are over there right now trying to train these people to be self sustaining. My neighbors is an electritian, our government is paying him to teach the Iraqi people to build and maintain their own resources. This is why our military still has pressence in Iraq, to protect our civilians and to protect the new governing body preparing to take over. However, if they want us out I say “So Long”. I thing our civilians should be pulled out. All military weaponry including what was there before should be removed or destroyed beyond repair, Destroying any oportunity for a military then let them have their country back. Within 2yrs they will be begging us for help.

With that said, may the families of those who have caused such grief fall from the face of the earth so that none shall suffer at their hands again.

The blood of the innocent shall be held acountable on those who shed that blood and those shall also perish a miserable death at the hands of the chosen.

  31. Tracy Says:

This is entirely our fault. Our foreign policy of supporting Israel while disallowing Palestinians basic rights is at the cor of the problem. The real reason for the instability in the Middle East is the military industrial complex has far too much to gain by supplying weapons to the fighting factions. Oil is certainly a part of it as you need the oil to make all those tanks roll and planes fly.

If the United States really wanted this problem to go away it would extract the same price from Israel they have extracted from the Palestinians. But then what would that do to the obscene politial contributions from all the jews in the US.

just for clarity you can be an Israeli but not a Jew, just as all Palestinians are also Semites…So is it about a Jewish state or the free secular state of Israel. From my perspective the Israeli settlements are essentialy those of an occuplying army.

  32. Robin Says:

I think all you bleeding hearts should step off the bandwagon. You’re all a bunch of assholes. Good thing the government isn’t left in your hands. You’d have us all in the hands of terrorists in a New York minute. I have to wonder if any tragedy has ever touched your lives. Christ almighty, what is this world coming to when jackasses like you can find excuses to justify terrorism. If you’d take your heads out of your asses for a while, you might be able to see things a little more clearly. THOSE BASTARDS WANT TO KILL US! ALL OF US! You’re all idots!!!!!!!!!!

  33. reggie eives Says:

    none

  34. Simon Bar Kochba Says:

Xrlq, I am most encouraged and gratified to see your site – and the cogent and insightful comments you have and generate. As most humans do, I possessed enough morbid curiousity to end up at your site, intent on seeing the video of Nick Berg’s murder. While I still possess the mordbid curiousity, after reading the comments left by you and others here – I have decided not to watch this poor individual’s slaughter, out of respect for him -and especially contempt for his killers.

I stand with my Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Hindi, and Buddhist brothers and sisters the world over that realize living together is humanity’s manifest destiny. Now, for us to evolve as a species, means living together and celebrating ourselves-not killings ourselves.

But, if anyone out there has any knowledge of history, then you will know that my name is one of a specific point to be made. And it is a deliberate point of future organizing -and future mobilization-should it become necessary. An organzing and mobilization that will occur regardless of whether I am a part of it or not. -Any success of Islamic extremists will ultimately create extremists of all religions with a passion and undying determination that will make those who murder in the name for Jihad or Aryan purity or any other fringe insanity pale by comparison. Those who follow to one degree or another Osama and all his spiritual and philosophical allies–Those who commit unspeakable horrors in the name of God, are the true enemy of a humanity that is just waking up – and once woken will not fall back asleep.

Rather than striking fear into our hearts – those who seek power or dominion or sovereignty through the fuedal practices of barbarism are stoking a focused rage that once completely unleashed (and our focused rage-in my opinion has not yet really be unleashed)-will give the enermies of peace and democracy some indication of what Milton meant by “Paradise Lost.”

-Again, three cheers to you and your site, Xrlq. -I do agree with your points -and retorts to those who level their (fairly weak) counterpoints at you.

May the Democratic, Reasonable And Tolerant Always Prevail.

  35. average joe Says:

This is my first time visiting this site while being bored at work. I as an American do feel that terrorism is a real threat in our country. I also believe that we cannot solve this problem by obliterating countries that we think may be the source of terrorism. Violence only begets more violence, and I don’t think that it is in the will of the American people to send our military worldwide to create more tension with countries that would celebrate the day America disappeared off the face of the earth. In addition, the poles are in… we have lost support for this war in Europe. Can America truly believe that it is justified in attacking a certain part of the globe without consulting with the other countries that inhabit the same planet? Our closest ally, Great Britain, has less than 50% of its people supporting this war. President Bush has a favoribility rating over 50% exclusively in the United States and nowhere else. Many people beleive the role of the United States in this world is to act as a police force, but right now we are acting only in our best interest. Maybe some day we will realize that we are not the only country on this planet. If you view me as unAmerican in saying this, then so be it, but I’m not content with watching my country create more disorder in an already disordered country. President Bush has painted a target on all Americans for Muslim extremists, but they wouldn’t even know that some of the people they kill are against America’s actions, and that’s what truly stands out for me.

  36. Patriot Says:

Well average Joe, I guess you think that the USA should just roll over on our backs and be submissive to the terrorists. These extremists have taken a vow to kill the American way of life and view anything but a violent reaction as cowardise. Bush has done what he had to do to prevent more 9/11 incidents happening here in our homeland. France and Germany chose to sit this one out becuaes of their ties to the far east. France is a nation of cowards , look at their last election , they let the muslim Extremists control the way they voted. If Bush had not gone into Afganistan and Iraq we would have had far more attacks on the USA. The only thing these animals understand is being more violent than they can be , you must remeber we are not dealing with rational humans. Also I think the vast majority of Americans have forgotten 9-11. As I remember just after 9-11 you could not buy an American flag , the d\stores were sold out. Everyone was waving a flag , now you hardly see a flag displayed. What happened to that flash of patriotism??? All forgotten with the life that was lost on 9-11. What ever happened to the motto ” We will never forget”?????????????

  37. average joe Says:

It defies the reasonings of psychology to think that Muslim extremists could hate us for no reason. They are rational in their minds and there has to be a non-violent solution to this problem. Our military can cover a lot of areas of the world, but there will ALWAYS be some terrorists left behind. The American public will become annoyed and non-supportive long before the time when terrorism is “under control” because it’s more than likely not going to happen. Although not going to war may be considered “submissive,” there is a huge difference between putting your foot down on an entire country and planning to eliminate a decentralized group of people that can be found in most countries around the world. Once again, although we are protecting our interests it may not be in the interest of other countries and that in time could lead to the destruction of our way of life. If these Muslim extremists are as irrational and violently animal-like as you say, then why aren’t more countries rallying to our cause? In effect, I think that you are saying that we fight only for ourselves and what we believe in regardless as to whether it is against the opinion of the world, and in the mind of an angry disturbed terrorist, that’s enough to do terrible things to our country. And if we fight to preserve that exact concept, then we can never expect peace.

  38. Robin Says:

Patriot – My sentiments exactly. I’m at a loss to even contemplate what some of these people are thinking. I think some of them honestly believe that it comes down to pro-war/anti-war. Nobody is pro-war. We are pro-FREEDOM! It’s what gives us the PRIVILEGE to voice our opinions, despite the ridicule they receive from we flag wavers! Quite frankly, I don’t think they have a clue as to how fortunate they are to live in America and, likewise, take their freedoms for granted.

  39. Xrlq Says:

AJ: what defies reasoning is your eagerness to excuse the hater and blame the hatee. Looking back at the Nazi era, we don’t ask what evil things the Jews did to make the Germans hate them so much. We ask what possessed so many Germans to become so evil, and what we in the West might have done differently to prevent this evil from being carried out.

The fact that relatively few countries are rallying to our cause is neither here nor there. They have their own motivations for that. My theory: they’d rather have their cake and eat it too. We’re doing most of the heavy lifting, so they get all the anti-terror benefits of our war on terror whether they are seen supporting us or not. So as long as there are terrorists out there, why would they want to stick their necks out? We don’t have that luxury ourselves. Then again, judging by the attacks we’ve seen on “soft targets,” including Spain after it capitulated on Iraq, neither do they. They just haven’t all figured that out yet.

  40. Patriot Says:

AJ , What of the Christians that went before our troops landed and tried to reason with the muslim extremists. Did they listen to these people of God, No. If you do not believe their way you are a devil and should be put to death. I think it is starange that all of these countries hate the US but sure have their hand out for our money and aid. I do not understand why we keep giving these countries aid and money. If there is a disaster the good old USA is the first to help , but let something happen in the US and all these friends turn there backs on us. If we stopped the foreign aid our country would be a lot richer and not have a budget deficit. A lot of the reasoning behind foreign aid was to stop the spread of communism but now that it is out of the way we should stop foreign aid and if we did these countries would cry that the US was heartless. The only thing the muslim extremists understand is violence.
As to why more countries are not rallying to our cause is they are afraid of being bombed and such by this group of animals [ sorry to insult animal life]. As I recall we are not alone in iraq. Italy , Japan, England , Australia , Canada and many other countries are there with us. There are only a few hold outs.
NATO is a joke , the US gives more money to NATO than all the other countries combined. We should drop out of NATO and put our dollars to work in our own country.

I told myself that I shgouldn’t be watching this, and I don’t know why I continued to watch. I had no idea that they sawed his head off.Even in the movies I have never seen anything like that and I hope to never see anything like that again. All I could do was cry and ask GOD to take away the image so those of you reading this, if you haven’t watched it, you really shouldn’t because I’m sorry that I did. I knew Nick was murdered, but it was just an awful experience to watch. Anyone with a heart could never do that to someone and I hope they kill all those dirty bastards so thay can hurry up and roast.

  42. frank Says:

there so damn brave let them take there mask off …murdering bastards , killem all let god sort them out

  43. Brent Braesh Says:

I have just viewed the video, and as others I have strugled with watching it. So now I have, I am very saddened to know that a man whom was doing for others could have died as he did. Should we negotiate with terrorist… of course not, but I cant help but believe that we as a passionett country who is so willing to lay down thousands of lives for others in foregn countries that we cant exhaust all of our powers to save our own. For the first time I am now doughting our reasons for this was. But most of all I wonder if the sacrifice justifies the loss.

  44. Fig Gurl Says:

I would like to see this video and cannot get it anywere. What gives?

  45. jackie Says:

It saddens my heart to see how so many individuals are hurting. Many innocent people have lost their lives over the past three years. After watching Ferinheit 911 and now this God Help Us! Everyone wants answers! As I watched I was reminded of the the innocent lives taken from their land to come here and serve as slaves ,who later became free and that came more killings, lynchings, riots and boycotts just to name a few and yet “NOTHING WAS DONE;” Now similar occurrences are happening and “Nothing IS BEING DONE.” Yes we have our troops but should we really be THERE! I pray that one day by and by we will understand and all of this hatred will cease. God Be With the BERGES FAMILY!::sad::???:

  46. Dj Goodson Says:

The CIA and the American Gov is resp.

  47. Germany Says:

This is the new america. Killing people in iraq because of goverment lies and wondering about what is happening now. Good please save us from George Bush.

  48. Xrlq Says:

Gee, I wonder why those arrogant Americans never listen to the sages from Germany. Please.

  49. Empress Toxic Says:

I can’t find any nick berg beheading videos…not on yahoo or google, where the heck is it?

  50. Xrlq Says:

    E.T.: Here’s your sign.

  51. dennis Says:

Are you people, who are trying to admonish us loyal American Patirots, happy living in the country?
If you are than I suggest you do some soul searching as to just whose side you are on.
Carey will say and do anything to become the next President. What will you say when the attacks on Americans remain or increase in frequency?
Wake up American People, in these days of our existance we are under attack from many people for many reasons. But, the outcome of their agenda is the same from all of them be they foriegn or domestic. They are driven to destroy our way of life and to assist in the domination of the world through a single governing body.
WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE THE FORTITUDE AND COMMITTMENT AS WELL AS THE RESOURCES TO STAND UP AGAINST THESE ENEMIES AND MUST FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT WHEREVER AND WHENEVER WE MUST! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  52. Robin Says:

If Carey wins this election, we’re all in big trouble. Because the news channels are so biased, we don’t get a true perspective on what’s really going on. They do more Bush-bashing than Carey, which is really unfortunate. Try tuning in to The O’Rielly Factor or Hannity and Colmbs, where you’ll get a reliable news source and some insight on honest reporting. Perhaps they can stimulate some of those waning brain cells some of you have, into an understanding of why WE AS AMERICANS, MUST PUT AN END TO TERRORISM. We’re the only one’s who can! And you call yourself Americans!!! Shame on you! Thanks Dennis for reminding these freeloaders who we are and what we stand for. AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.

  53. Traci Says:

 What a waste! That poor man had to go in search of a good job in a bad place.
God will see to it that the Anti-Christ is punished

  54. mariah Says:

the other day i saw a quote by ben franklin that somehow made a lot of sense to me “there has never been a good war, and there has never been a bad peace” i think our “leader” should have thought about that before he decided to drag an entire world to battle to finish a war his daddy started 20 years ago. you can say it’s a war on terrorism. but terrorism doesnt have an army, we are fighting iraq. not osama. fewer soldiers were sent into afghanistan to search for osama than there are policemen in new york…. personally i would have put more effort into finding that shithead. bush’s war on terrorism is just like his war on drugs. he will never win. ever. he cant search out every corner of the globe to find every terrorist that will ever bomb a building for a political reason. he isnt smart enough and he isnt powerful enough. he keeps forgetting, he doesnt own the world.

  55. mariah Says:

for fucks sake it is KERRY! KERRY not CAREY.jim carey is a comedian, john kerry is a politician running for president. if you want to sound educated and political try not confusing your there, they’re, their. or your too to two. and also…. spell the the names right.
how stupid can you be? pretty damn stupid…. i guess.

  56. mariah Says:

and also fox news is owned by bush’s cousin. so. i dont think there is too much biased information against that prick.

  57. Robin Says:

Kerry is a bigger comedian. I spelled it right the first time! And if your gonna be picking people apart, you might start with your own lack of sentence structure. Geez, Louise, and you’re calling us stupid. Be that as it may, the two programs I mentioned are informative because the context is delivered more like a debate, so you get the pros and cons of both sides of an issue. Everybody can take some positive aspect from it instead of just the one-sided view offered by the local media, which are owned and operated by……….you got it, “Carey” fans.

  58. Xrlq Says:

The intentional comedian’s name is spelled “Carrey.” The unintentional comedian’s name is spelled “Kerry.” Perhaps both of you are thinking of a different Mariah?

  59. Xrlq Says:

BTW, Benjamin Franklin was full of crap. There is such a thing as a bad peace; we had one right up through September 10. We just didn’t know how bad it was at the time.

  60. Robin Says:

Xrlq: Perhaps. Thanks for the spelling lesson. So there you have it, Mariah. We’re both stupid!

  61. Robin Says:

Now, back to the real issues. The percentage of drug related crime is growing daily. The threat of terrorism looms over us like a huge black cloud, Mariah. What would you suggest our Commander and Chief (or any President before him) do under these circumstances. Granted, these issues should have and could have been dealt with long before this, however, they weren’t. Now, we are engaged in a war that may significantly eliminate other powers from attempting another 9/11, not just on our soil, but on others as well. Bush is doing what everybody before him was afraid to do. He’s standing his ground and attempting to put an end to acts of terrorism all over the globe. No, he doesn’t own the world, but he presides over the country who defends it.

  62. Danielle Says:

    :mad:justice for Mr.Burge

  63. john dodds Says:

why are humans so cruel to each other please please dtop this needless pain every one has a god figure and these people say they are acting for theirs i dont believe that any god figure would condone this pain they will pay in the next life god bless all the families of the victims and murders

  64. scott Says:

I am only 16 and this did not disturbe me as much as i thougt it would. I think its probly because of movies. However its still wrong.

  65. joe Says:

Why is everything what is said about Israel wrong? I am not a racist at all, and i am agree with this comment. For me, Bush and Sharon are the most dangerous terrorists in the world. And the USA have their next Vietnam, and they deserve it, for the bullshit they always make in the world.

  66. Xrlq Says:

Joe, if you can’t tell the difference between real terrorists and the people who fight them, you are an idiot and you deserve whatever you get.

  67. John Says:

:whip:I think the video was beautiful, It show’s how fucking far human’s have evolved from animals.

  68. Karlo Says:

“why do they hate us,” and ask instead “why don’t they fear us?” How simplistic can we get. Who in the hell is “us” and “them”? I can guarantee that I’m not one of “us” and the “thems” I’ve met all seem to be a fairly diverse set of individuals.

  69. Xrlq Says:

Karlo, if you identify more closely with them (Islamafascist terrorists) than you do with us (liberal western cultures), then maybe you should you do both them and us a favor and move to Iran.

  70. shereen Says:

I M muslim , and what those guys done to this american man have nothing to do with islam
as far as I know , that we r not even allowed to torture our enemies , neither our hostages, anyhow if they would want to kill him or cut off his head ,, they would do it in a better mercyfull way ,, which means they would cut his head with a sword or something ,, it seems that they have enjoyed to torture him while cutting his head , so I think they r sick ,, they r not muslims ,, but at the same time ,, the americans torture the iraqi men and woman ,, so the whole thing is bad from both side ,, i pitie both side ,,
I believe the violence there will increase more and more ,, cuz the begining of this war wasnt planned and the iraqi ppl since the americans came to iraq tthey havent a better life then saddam ,,, so i do expect more crimes , more disasters there ,, as long that many iraqi r killing anyone just to steal and many criminals is out there ,, not for islam neither for the iraq land ,, its because too many criminals and thiefs and killers is all over the iraq ,,

and this video showing lots of sickness and also when i have seen the pictures of ABU GHARIB ,, felt the same way ,,

Both side cant act as human ,, so all I wish to just forget about this IRAQ ,, cuz it becomes a disguested issue for myself and for many peoples all over .
