First of all, where did anyone ever get the idea that I am a liberal? Or are you just assuming that from one single sentence?
Second, the comments were turned off not because of people who didn’t agree with me. It was because there were people who didn’t agree with me and were making hateful, hurtful comments towards others, and engaging in some rather vicious attacks.
If you think I turn off my comments when people don’t agree with me then you’ve never read my blog.

In Michele’s [A Small Victory] defense, she may be “liberal” on the issue of gay marriage, but on the issue of foreign policy (War on Terror, et al)–for instance–she is most definitely not of a liberal persuasion.

I know you’re not a liberal, and that you don’t generally delete comments simply because you disagree with them. That’s why I was a bit surprised to see you delete the whole string of comments, as opposed to the hateful ones. But this part was the kicker:
As one of several commenters who left a dissenting, non-hateful, non-vicious comment, I think that’s painting with a pretty broad brush.
Speaking of people painting with a broad brush, I agree that calling you a “liberal” is silly.
