They are frustrated because their spin can't get traction. This is not a scandal of Saddam smuggling stuff out, it is a scandal of US allowing the looting of the Iraqi infrastructure, and it's still ongoing. We weren't even smart enough to secure nuclear facilities and ammo dumps. Good luck making that Saddam's fault.

Perhaps so. As for me, I'm reserving judgment on this alleged bombshell until at least one real news organization can corroborate it.

The ironic thing is that this story (along with the equally buried story of the 7.5 tons of Sarin nerve gas found in Jordan) both exonerates the Bush Administrates them for the decision to go to war in the first place and zings the Administration for not doing more to prevent Saddam's WMD program from being outsourced to Jordan, Syria and God knows where else.

Now that I've fallen from #421 to #499 on the Ecosystem Traffic Ranking, I guess I'm even further from being a prominent blogger, but I was wondering about that too.

I think it was overshadowed by the lede-buried story of a day or two earlier that only discussed Iraqi missile parts being found in Amsterdam. The World Tribune covered and highlighted the bit about the WMD components, but both story discussed the same U.N. meeting.
