Mmmm….Uranium
The Financial Times reports that George W. Bush’s infamous sixteen words about Iraq attempting to purchase uranium in Niger Africa were right after all. I expect a big “whoops, our bad” from the BushLied™ crowd any day now. Or maybe not.
Meanwhile, the Orange County Register reports that the U.S.’s recent transfer of that other uranium from Iraq – two tons, but who’s counting? – was not authorized by the United Nations. Watch for a new resolution holding the U.S. in material breach, followed by a call for regime change if we do not hand over the uranium promptly. It’s only fair, I suppose. After all, if we won’t respect the legitimacy of a foreign leader who was elected by 100% of his countrymen, who are we to expect then to recognize a President who was selected rather than elected?

Maybe not is right. Some people are in an alternate universe with different facts.

Trojan Huddle: TGIF N LA!
Thank Goodness it is Friday and I am not traveling anywhere or have any major plans for the first weekend since mid-May! Yes, it sort of feels like cheating, since it was a short week, but I am nonetheless glad…
