Moron of the Day: Daniel A. Woodford
While reviewing the reviews for Unfit for Command over at Amazon, I encountered this gem from an illiterate boob named Daniel A. Woodford, who obviously hasn’t read the book and probably can’t read at all. I’d fisk his alleged review, but interrupting his “thought” process at all would tend to detract from his rant’s incredible badness:
Disgusting lies and distortions of truth, September 11, 2004Reviewer: Daniel A. Woodford “D. Woodford” (The Southwest) – See all my reviews
Even if these lies and distortions were accurate, the book is still irrelevant.
[This is aside from the fact that attacking a veteran's war record with unfounded accusations and outright lies is outrageous, dispictable and loathsome.]
Anyone considering voting for Bush should consider whether they want to vote for a man who encourages such devisive and disseatful politicing.
The real point here is that John Kerry VOLUNTARILY served in Vietnam. He didn’t get his daddy to get him a deferment five times. He didn’t get his daddy to get him into the reserves and then NOT serve.
Even if he only deserved two purple hearts, John Kerry is still miles ahead of Bush who “served” in the Texas Air National Guard at the same time John F. Kerry was commanding men at war.
A better book would be an account of Bush’s carousing while a member of the guard.
How much and where he drank (and the ensuing drunken embarassments), what ladies he stepped out with, what illicit substances he abused…
Now that would be a real page turner, and best of all it would be the truth.
Given Danny Boy’s ongoing struggles with the English language, here’s hoping that by November 2, he will have forgotten that John Kerry’s last name isn’t spelled B-U-S-H.

“Even if these lies and distortions were accurate, the book is still irrelevant.”
Is it coincidence that this sentence was written only a day after we were treated to Dan Rather’s even-if-the-documents-are-forgeries-the-story-is-still-important logic?

You mean to tell me that members of the Armed Forces drink and chase women? Who’d have thought it?
