More Lindlies About Bush

Filed under:   by Xrlq @ 5:29 pm

Last month, Scott Lindlaw, the Ass. Press reporter with a stated mission to “see that Bush does not get re-elected,” fabricated a story about Republicans booing when President Bush announced former President Clinton’s heart attack and gave his best wishes for a speedy recovery. Lindlaw’s lie was if anything worse than Rathergate, as in this case, the reporter himself was the one doing the forging. Apparently, nothing has happened to Lindlaw, and he’s still on Bush’s case. From today’s article, via Drudge:

On Thursday, the president used the clearest language to date nailing the question [of Iraq's vaporware WMD] shut: “Iraq did not have the weapons that our intelligence believed were there,” Bush said. His words placed the blame on U.S. intelligence agencies.

Actually, no, they don’t. Simply stating that our intelligence agencies believed X, while X was not true, does not place blame anywhere. Lindlaw simply made that up.

UPDATE: Powerline has more. Apparently, there many more lies, deceits, half-truths and quarter-truths in this article.
