Margaret Hassan, 1945-2004
Via Digger, it appears Margaret Hassan has been murdered by her captors, despite having opposed both the war and the sanctions that led up to it, and despite having devoted most of her life to the betterment of Iraqi society.
May she rest in peace, and may every one of her killers suffer a long, painful and humiliating death. Hassan herself probably would not have wished such a vile fate on them, but I do.
