Roseanne Barr Not Welcome in Mexico
Guadalupe Madrigal was fined $40 for bungling the national anthem at an October 30 soccer match. Had she messed it up intentionally, she probably would have faced a much stiffer fine, up to $880.
O-kay.

Roseanne not welcome in Mexico? That’s ok, ’cause she’s not welcome in America either. ;-)

We watched an old Lucy show in which Robert Goulet makes a crack about having forgetten the words to the national anthem. The audience seemed to know the incident though I think it has since faded from public memory. I wondered then when the Roseanne incident would fade. I guess not now.

I used to live in Mexicali, Mexico. They DO take their national anthem VERY seriously.
