Gasoline
I just filled up for $1.93 per gallon. What is gasoline going for in your state right now (roughly)? Don’t forget to identify the state.

Southern Michigan - self-serve regular unleaded 1.64 - 1.74 per gallon. I’m told it’s about a nickel higher upstate.

$1.65 to $1.81 in Houston (Texas, naturally), depending on where in town you are. Near where I live and work, $1.71 is not uncommon.

Cheapest I’ve seen is $1.89, in Orange County, CA.

You have a magical bear flag league blogroll that leaves off half the blogs.
What’s up with that?

The lowest I’ve seen here in Oklahoma City has been $1.519, but the average is closer to $1.60.

$1.64 at Costco in Durham, otherwise, about $1.76 in NC.

xrlq: If you live in Orange County, the best place to buy gasoline is La Habra (assuming you have a reason for being there in the fist place). Gas there typically runs about 10-15 cents a gallon less than anywhere else in OC. I have no knowledge of where its at right now, though, since I haven’t had need to head out there in a few weeks.

$1.73, Tracy, CA

Here in Oregon, I’ve seen as low as $1.699, at ARCO.
Various pages on the interweb list such things, as does (also via interweb) the US Government.

Just left the cabin at Homewood (Lake Tahoe), CA and paid $2.09 at Chevron… (The upside was that we got out just before the big storm.) As the Sacramento, CA area has already been commented upon, I’ll not duplicate that number.

$1.69 for the past week in Erie, PA

Addendum to above: On the way home from work, I spied a no-name station (US 62 just east of I-35, Oklahoma City) selling the low-octane stuff for $1.499.
December 30th, 2004 at 6:48 pm
Arizona (89 octane) $1.839
New Mexico (88 oct) $1.799
Subtract about $0.10 for regular.

$1.659 at an ARCO in Troutdale, OR (an east suburb of Portland).

In Coweta County, Georgia, the bargain stations I see most frequently are selling regular at $1569 a gallon. Last week or so the local paper named a station in another area that had regular at the time for $1.499 — but I can’t vouch personally and don’t know whether they’ve raised the price since.
Georgia, of course, has gas taxes so low the libs are afraid to suggest raising them.

I just filled both cars for $1.61 near Dallas, Texas.

Today I filled up for $1.529. After all those near-$40 fillups, it was refreshing to finish up at just over $30 or so.

$2.12 in Vail, CO. Over the pass in Summit county it’s $1.93.
