So, for the record, there is no "you're my buddy" exception to prosecution for crimes. Deputy DAs who commit crimes get prosecuted -- albeit by a different office, to avoid the appearance of impropriety. The point here is that blogging, and expressing your political opinions, cannot be a crime. If I link to John Kerry's web site to show how he lies about his military record, are they calling that a contribution to <i>John Kerry</i>?? This is insanity.
