Professor Charged With Lack of Indian Ancestry, Bad Haircut, Death Threats, Offensive Opinions, Plagiarism, Lack of Indian Ancestry
Time for a straw poll. Which of the following statements is correct?
- This Rocky Mountain News article, carried by MSNBC and linked by Drudge, buries the lead by making a bigger deal out of fake Indian / fake professor Ward Churchill’s alleged plagiarism of real non-Indian real professor Fay G. Cohen’s work than it made out of his subsequent threats to “get” her for complaining about it.

- Neither. Threatening to kill somebody is just another way of exercising your freedom of speech, especially when the threat is made by one college professor to another. Don’t you commoners understand why we elites who are better than you need academic freedom to keep us off that slippery slope? Today, they talk of firing a fake Indian fake professor who sells fake art and doesn’t even hold a fake Ph.D. for advocating 3,000 murders in the past and threatening to commit one himself in the future. Tomorrow, they’ll go after Eugene Volokh for admitting out loud that he probably didn’t vote for John Kerry.
- What the hell is MSNBC?
- OK, I admit it. I know what MSNBC is, but why on earth would the Rocky Mountain News allow it to carry their story? Did they buy MSNBC on eBay or something?
- Who the hell is Matt Drudge?
- All of the above

In the master’s own voice:
“Ward Churchill is the author of Agents of Repression: The FBI’s Secret Wars Against the Black Panther Party and the American Indian Movement and the COINTELPRO Papers. He is a Professor of Political Science and he is the Director of the Educational Development Program at the University of Colorado/Boulder. Along with Glenn Morris, he coordinates the Colorado chapter of the American Indian Movement. He also works with Winona LaDuke to coordinate the Institute for Natural Progress. “I’m a Keetoowah Band Cherokee”. And so’s ex-President Clinton. Does make you wonder about the “Science” part of Political Science.
