Well, Nanuk, if a dog kills a kid, it’s probably a good idea to put it down, no matter what breed it is or how strong its jaws are.

Just sayin’ – god knows I’ve known plenty of pit bulls, staffordshires and similar big, strong-jawed dogs in my day, every one of them a completely hopeless sweetheart of a dog.

I have pretty much no patience with breed-related laws, since every whit of evidence I’ve seen indicts dog upbringing rather than breed for canine misconduct. (Man, and I don’t even own a dog!)

If you want to further discredit the city's leaders: the S.F. Supes appear to have passed an anti-Minuteman Project resolution. I don't know its final form, but the version I looked at made factually incorrect statements about an (unnamed but easily identified) MMP volunteer. See Should Bryan Barton sue San Francisco?
