		<description>You know, the thing is, I almost applaud this on federalist grounds--I&#039;ve long said that if the left really wants single payer they should stop trying to impose it federally, where it would be one of the Labors of Hercules to pass, and find a state to run it from instead.

Better still, however, would be state-level insurance reform that made the entire state a single medical group--which insurers have no reason to fight as it&#039;s a hell of a lot simpler than they have to deal with now--and cafeteria options for people on state-run health systems to choose from among private insurers instead.

Crazy me for wanting to bring market forces into government.</description>
