Fang Fund Auction
Randy Thomas has generously agreed to auction off one of his original works (i.e., not a print) and donate the proceeds to Venomous Kate’s “Fang Fund.” The auction will be held right here, on this here entry to this here blog. Randy’s work is approximately 11 x 14 inches, and the medium is Pantone Letraset pens on Bristol Board Paper. Here’s a pic:
Bidding begins immediately and will continue through 12:01 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time, on Thursday, August 11. In ordinary English, that means you have until next Wednesday night at midnight to bid, or a couple hours longer if you live on the East Coast. Bid early and often, and keep an eye on the comment thread in case you’re outbid.
Note that for this entry only, the comment area is to be used exclusively for bidding. Please do not post a comment for any other purpose. If you have any questions about Randy, his work, Kate’s teeth, the auction, or anything else tangentially related to this issue, feel free to drop us a line, and Kate, Randy and/or I will respond shortly. Also, be sure to bid to this thread only, not to any other entries that may link to it – not even on Kate or Randy’s blog entries. For the auction to go smoothly, it is critical that all bids be in one place so everyone knows how high he needs to bid, whether a previously winning bid is still in the lead, etc. Also note that in order to place a valid bid, it is imperative that you include a valid email address with your comment. Any purported bids lacking valid email addresses – and that includes “anti-spam” permutations of otherwise valid addresses – will be deleted. Don’t worry, you wont’ get any spam by commenting here, now or ever. Email addresses are never displayed in comments on my blog, so no spambot will know what email address you gave me. All a valid email address will do is to ensure that we can contact you to verify that your bid is legit, and that you’re not some prankster playing games.
