Pat Robertson Not Struck By Lightning, Disproves Existence of God

Filed under:   by Xrlq @ 6:29 pm

Via Drudge, it’s another day, another example of Pat Robertson stepping in it.  This time, the idiot claims Ariel Sharon’s stroke was God’s punishment for letting the A-rabs have the Gaza Strip.  He then went on to imply that Yitakh Rabin’s assassination by one of God’s crazed followers was actually sent by God, as well.  Islamic terrorists Ahmed Jibril (h/t: Tammy Bruce) and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (h/t: Drudge) agree, differing with Roberts only on the minor detail of exactly what God was punishing Sharon for.

What I want to know is what we did to warrant Pat Robertson as our punishment.  Ideas?

UPDATE:  Scrappleface answers my question. Blogometer has a roundup of blogger reax.

It makes you wonder how Robertson continues to have so much influence. Proof, I guess, that there’s no such thing as bad publicity.
