And just today I drove onto Ft. Leavenworth with my new puppy on my lap. The guard at the front gate held up traffic while he reached in to pet her. Had either of us known, we might've been in Mrs. X's situation. Then again, there might've been a front gate guard with a missing hand if he'd tried giving me a citation... How annoying!
