Food Lyin’?
OK, Food Lion, I give up. Do you consider peanut butter to be a type of greeting card, a magazine, a candy, a type of water, or a flavor of Kool-Aid?

Huh? On a funny aisle?

Yup. If you need peanut butter from my local Food Lion, it’s easy to find. Just head on over to the aisle that says “Greeting Cards - Magazines - Candy - Water - Kool Aid,” and there it is.

Yeah, sorry, I should have warned you. It would either be greeting cards/baby or cereal….. All the grocery stores are non-intuitive.
And the chewing tobacco is on the same aisle as the picnic supplies (at least it is in CH)

Kroger is your friend, just as Ralph’s is.
My Food Lion also has the chaw in the same aisle as the toys and picnic supplies.

Kroger is good, Ukrop’s is better, but for country bumpkins like me, Food Lion is the only game in town.

You’re kidding about it being the only game in town, right? Even I live near a Kroger.

I guess it all depends on what the meaning of “near” is. Twenty miles seems a bit far to me.

The Kroger I live near seems regularly to drop items from its inventory after I’ve only been buying them regularly for about six months. The last couple of weeks, if all you knew was what you saw on the shelves at our local Kroger, you’d think 7-Up had gone completely out of business.

The closest Kroger to where we lived in CH was about 24 miles round trip (across Durham), so I’m not surprised. FL was about a mile and a half, though, just down the street.
