Can Tawana Brawley Get a Scholarship Too?
Jesse Jackson and his PUSHers have offered free tuition to the alleged victim of an alleged rape by three alleged members of Duke’s allegedly existent lacross team. That seems like a very decent thing to do, should the charges ultimately prove true, or even if they proved “fake-but-accurate,” (e.g., if it were ultimately determined that she was in fact assaulted by someone who was not actually a member of the lacrosse team, but whom she had honestly mistaken for one). Unfortunately, Jackson doesn’t care about that:
No one has been charged in the case, but the allegations have rocked the community. Jackson he has yet to speak with the woman, but said his group pledged to pay for her tuition even if her story proves false.
Lovely.

Gee, this looks suspiciously like Jesse is just paying her for the valuable services of arousing racial animosity. How much do you think Duke is going to end up paying the Jesse Jackson Foundation to make this go away? I’ll bet it’s a lot more than a couple years tuition.

Great. A scholarship fund for white women who falsely accuse black men of rape should balance things out. We can advertise for false rape activists.
