Although I agreed with him in substance, Justice White’s “putative mother” in his dissent in Doe v. Bolton must hold the record for snarkiest thing ever said.

Insty may object to snark. I don’t; it’s even part of my tag line. However, thoughtful snark is one thing, and mindless snark, another. Jesse Walker’s comments on the war in Iraq have fallen in the latter category from Day One, and “Reason” generally has tended that way ever since Nick Gillespie took over.
