The facility I shoot at has a 500m silhouette range, and they don't allow .224" caliber centerfire on that range - too much target damage. The minimum allowable caliber is 6mm. (other than that one in Woodbridge where they'll let you shoot a .50 BMG. Why you would want to shoot one on a 25 yard indoor range, I'll never know.
