Fess up, the only reason you took yourself out of the running is that you saw the Allen campaign falling apart and you didn't want to get too close to a capsizing ship.

Actually, I'm in Richmond so Fairfax is a bit far to drive for a single drink (and suicide for 5). I am up that way every now and then, so I'll gladly drop you an email. Does the one you used with this comment actually work?

I third it, fourth it, etc. Unfortunately, I fear Jon is right that the Allen campaign simply won't put in the effort required. They are going to poll-watch for awhile and see if they actually need th extra help.

BTW, I think you and I may be members of the same bar (Fairfax). Drop me an email of I'm correct, or if you just want to get a drink (or 5;).

[...] Captain Ed and Xrlq are suggesting that the Allen campaign, which is looking for a blogger, consider hiring Jon Henke. Somehow I don’t see Jon as interested, but power to him if he wants to cash in. However, if that isn’t what Jon wants to do, even though it probably wouldn’t pay as much, how about helping Smithers? It helps with accomplishing gridlock while putting a small government type in office. How about it Jon? [...]
