Ending the Protectionist Racket
Arizona is considering amending its rules to allow lawyers from other states to be admitted on motion. It’s about time. Shorter con argument: California, Nevada and New Mexico want to jump off a bridge, so dammit, we should, too!
And no, I don’t have a dog in this fight. I don’t see myself moving to Arizona anytime soon (though I can certainly think of worse places to live), and even if I did, I wouldn’t need the new rule since I’m admitted there already, the old-fashioned way.

Bummer. Arizona is my wife’s first choice should we move and now I have one fewer argument against it. Oh well, there’s still the scorpions and rattlesnakes.

I dunno, dude. I can think of worse places to live than Arizona. Like, say, Illinois?

I’m giving a literal as well as figurative weight to “greener pastures”.

Ah. If you want to live where it rains even more than Illinois, the pickin’s are slim. Figuratively greener pastures abound, though.

Dude. I never noticed it raining more than a reasonable usual in Illinois, but gee, lucky me, I guess I got the slim pickin’s and all that goes with it: rain but not snow, dismal chill but no real hard freeze that kills the disgusting germs that seem to abound in this pretty-but-sickening state. :P
I am pretty damn stale on Oregon at this point.
