Massholes Strike Again
Thought the nannystate of Massachusetts would just take your guns and your income and then leave you alone? Think again.

Nannystate? I’d say sissy-state. I’d even use a stronger word but then I’d have to go to rehab.

Is there a reason you linked to the Fox News report rather than the original story at http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=198209? In order for you to “get it” I suspect you would have to be in an accident caused by another driver being distracted by a dog and/or having one of your children bit by a pit bull!

I’m not sure why you care which version of the story I linked to, but FWIW I now link to both. As to your “you won’t ‘get it’ unless something happens to you that renders you incapable of thinking clearly about the issue” rejoinder, I can’t say that I disagree.

“You can’t allow people to be afraid all the time,” said Avril T. Elkort, vice chairwoman of the Canton Board of Selectmen…
What ever happened to our right to be afraid?

A sub-set of a species being intrinsically violent due to genetics?
Isn’t it normally the leftists in this country who argue that all violent tendencies of individuals in society are due to environment, and that no considerations of judgment of that individual should be made on the basis of the individual’s genetic make-up?
I think if they aren’t careful a paradigm is about to shift with out a clutch.

I am not a dog expert but I listen to those who are. They recommend staying away from pup-farms and pet stores and buying from small breeders who only raise a litter at a time. Because the care the puppy receives early on determines its temperament. It’s pretty well established that a human baby develops empathy (the ability to love actually) in the first two years of its life. Babies who are raised in non-loving environments, such as orphanages or foster homes, grow up with problems. So it makes sense to me that the same is true about dogs. Massachussetts would do better to abolish pup-farms.
