Not in a Rush
I recently purchased Snakes and Arrows, which came earlier this month. Snakes and Arrows is the ninth studio album by Rush. I have no further comment.

Ninth??
Maybe nineteenth. Not ninth.
I believe Grace Under Pressure was the ninth. That was what? Well over 20 years ago?

By all accounts, Moving Pictures was the eighth. I consider Snakes and Arrows the ninth. Make of that what you will.

I see.
No kidding! I may have to get it — the clips I heard on Amazon didn’t bowl me over, but clips are clips.
I think you’re being a little unfair to Grace Under Pressure. But just a little.

You’re right, that album wasn’t too bad. Neither were Presto and Roll the Bones, for that matter. Maybe I should revise the entry and dub the new album #10; there’s probably a real album’s worth of Rush between the three.
Also, don’t get too excited over this one. It’s not their finest album, and the lyrics can get a bit moonbatty at times. My point is that at least this album sounds like it was made by the same guys who did the first eight, which is more than I can say for Signals, Power Windows, Hold Your Fire, etc. IOW, if you’re a fan of the old Rush, at least this one belongs in your collection.

I got it last night and listened to the first half on the way home. Not impressed. It sounds much more like their recent drivel to me than it does the first 8 studio albums.
