An Inconvenient Truth

Someone really ought to explain to St. Cynthia that even if the unthinkable were to happen and she actually won Nancy Pelosi’s seat in November of 2008, it would be a bit late to impeach President Bush then.

    Sheehan Presses Bush Impeachment…

CRAWFORD, Tex., July 8 — Antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan said Sunday that she plans to run against …

What, are you INSANE!!! SHUTUP!!! What if your hasty words keep her from running?!

Don’t listen to him, Cindy! San Francisco needs you! San Francisco DESERVES you! Run, Cindy, RUN!

Sorry. I don’t usually use exclamation points or all-caps, but the prospect of Sheehan/Pelosi competition is like the funnest thing I’ve ever heard of.

  3. Xrlq Says:

Not to worry. St. Cynthia didn’t listen to my suggestion that she STFU years ago, so I don’t think she’ll start taking my advice now.

    Whew.

    Now, why didn’t I think of this?…

XRLQ, which is, incomprehensibly, pronounced “Jeff,” noted that even if Cindy Sheehan did by some miracle beat Nancy Pelosi in the next election, a campaign Mrs Sheehan says she’ll undertake only if Mrs Pelosi doesn’t move forw…

  6. Milhouse Says:

Not really. If Sheehan were to beat Pelosi, she’d be sworn in on 5-Jan-2009; W would still be president until the 20th, so she’d have a fortnight in which to get the House to impeach him. Surely that’s plenty of time. Andrew Johnson appointed Lorenzo Thomas as Secretary of War on 21-Feb-1868, and three days later the House impeached him for it. Ma S would have five times as long. (The Senate trial dragged on, and they didn’t get around to the final vote until 26-May.)
