Me and the Hillbilly
It’s recently come to my attention that Hillary Clinton and I have more things in common that either of us might have thought. A non-exhaustive, likely-to-be-updated-per-comments list is below the fold.
- We both attended elite law schools.
- We both hail from the northern suburbs of Chicago.
- We both have blond hair.
- Neither of us will be mistaken for Miss America, Miss USA, or Miss anything else save for Miss-Butt-Ugly-One, assuming such a pageant does in fact exist.
- Both of us want to take away your guns. No, really. Granted, we want the same thing for different reasons. She wants to disarm you for disarmament’s sake, while I just want to expand my own gun collection. Details.
- People around either of us are frequently treated to exactly the same annoying, insufferable laugh. Again, reasons differ; people around her hear the laugh if she thinks something is funny or embarrassing, while people around me only hear her laugh when someone calls my cell phone. Details.
- Both of us have traveled to former Yugoslavia without getting gunned down by snipers.
- Both of us have traveled to Northern Ireland, but neither of us played a significant role in brokering peace in Northern Ireland.
- Neither of us attends a black racist church.
- Neither of us is going to be President of the United States of America.

Xrlq Confessional time: I don’t think she’s particularly bad-looking. I think her age suits her very well, I think she has excellent cheeks and a terrific smile, and whoever’s styling her knows exactly what the hell they are doing–her hair, makeup, and clothes are all flawless. I don’t think she’s an intrinsically pretty woman and it showed when she was younger, but nowadays I think she looks quite distinguished and handsome.
