Samantha, I agree with the spirit of your comment but I don’t think incidents involving American Bulldogs are a very persuasive counter-argument to anti-pit hysteria. American Bulldogs are a very close relative to the pit bull, so anyone who expects pit bulls to attack people without provocation will scarcely be surprised when American Bulldogs do, too. To them (and, I suspect, to most dog people as well), American Bulldogs are just big pit bulls.

for the last 11 yr ive had a beautiful pitbull he was my best friend he was a amazing dog and wouldnt hurt a fly he would run after a cat and we he got close enough the cat would beat him up he would come in the house runnin from the cat with a huge cut on his face he was sweet and gentle i would feed him off a fork and he would so genlte take the food off i would tell him to stay he stay a few time he wondered off to the normal place a walked him and he would pass all the neighbors kid on the block and no one was scared he was the best dog any one could want he wa so smart to when i talked to him it was like he understood with his cute lil puppy eye when i was sick he lay with me till i was better

yes it true some pitbull to bite and attack but any dog can ive seem my friends hand almost ripped off bc of a american bull dog 150lb not a pitbull so i think every one need to open there eyes and realize pitbull are bad dog there wonderful dog as long as the owner is bad
i believe that people make animals what they are and i truely hope that every one will understand that

WOW!!!!! Listen here hunnie. You are a retarded individual. Not only did you contradict yourself by posting an update saying that in NO WAY did you try to spear the pits already battered reputation. You said and I quoted that Pit Bull’s are “tenacious and they never let go.”

I can go on further. You are a hypocrite, as well as an idiot! You have no business comparing Palin to this gorgeous dog, granted, I do NOT like her, I did NOT vote for her. You have NO right! You, basically just killed over 1,000,000 inncoent animals by writing this, you, god damn people like YOU, are the reason BSL is getting passed, which I pray everyday is dosent, you know why? Because I have been raised around pits for 25 years, my family rescued pits that had been beaten,starved and traine dot fight, bred them with other pits that were beaten,abused and maliciously fought, and guess what, they had awesome litters of pups, for 25 years that bloodline flourished, all from the two originals, Rocky and Grera, who since birth were trained to kill, and guess what .. They rehabilitated, lived with numerous babies and children, and were housed with other dogs and animals, and not once, did they do one thing you said, my god, i have friends that have pit bulls that have NEVER done the things you incinuate. You are a moron, if it wern’t for one of rocky and greta’s great x5 grandchildren my 6 month old son would NOT be alive. He saved his life, woke me up one night and led me to Liams room where he was choking and screaming, so next time you post something like this or even consider such a perverse comparrison, do you god damn research hunnie, pit bulls are amazing animals, and you should be god damn ashamed, your probably one of THOSE girls, well one of two, your either the girl in high school who spread their legs to every dick on the football team, as well as everyone else and thought she was hot shit, a prep, popular .. and went to college and did the same there, a whore. a bimbo. We had a dog of unknown background who behaved somewhat differently. My husband used to work out of town frequently, and we had two teenage daughters.

When my husband was gone, any female could visit us and be welcomed by Major, but males were greeted with low serious growls. The only exceptions were my Dad and my BIL. It’s funny how he knew they were “OK”.

My brother used to have a dog that was half coyote. She was sweet as could be — when my brother was around.

If I came to his house when he wasn’t home, Cheyenne would have happily ripped me to shreds if I tried to open that front gate.

We had a dog of a breed which makes pitbulls look like cuddly lambs. When it came to strangers that is. He would not hurt a member of the family if we were slowly skinning him alive but he had to be kept tethered for the sake of the neighbors. My father was tough, practical man but he cried when Fountouko died and he never got another dog after. My mother adopted a puppy but my father had nothing to do with it.
