The Gibson Interview

Filed under:   by Xrlq @ 5:31 pm

For those who missed Charles Gibson’s interview with Sarah Palin, here’s what it boils down to:

Gibson: I’m thinking of a number between 1 and 4. What is it?
Palin: Err.. can I buy a clue?
Gibson: Sure. Definitely greater than 1, and probably greater than 2.
Palin: Oh, I dunno, 4?
Gibson: No, dumbass, I was thinking of 3. Remind me why you’re in this race in the first place? Jeebus.

UPDATE: If you have seen the interview and agree with my take, say so here. My comment:

If this was the best Gibson could do, he should have left the job to someone who can at least sound objective. Dinging someone for failing to divine which of the 4 Bush Doctrines he had in mind was bad enough; at least that could have been an innocent error. But on what planet can someone honestly accuse someone else of stating factually what they had actually just prayed for? If I prayed for Gibson to pull his head out of his butt, that would not be equivalent to saying it isn’t up there now.

On the other hand, if you have seen the interview and don’t agree with my take, feel free to post your views here, instead.

Geeze. I’ve been thinking that all of you Palin supporters are whiny little girls crying over a tough interview. But after seeing that side-by-side comparison at Patterico … holy crap.

There is no question that Gibson is in the tank for Obama.

I never doubted that from the beginning. I just expected him to be a tad more subtle about it. BTW I took the liberty of adding a link to your comment for posterity.
