Who said anything about mutual exclusivity? “Or” is inclusive, as you surely know if you’ve ever asked a mathematical wise-ass “Are you coming or not?” and had him answer “Yes.”

Well, the “pick your poision” line would seem to imply a “one-or-the-other” type of choice between the two, as if picking one spares you the other.

Picking one poison doesn’t guarantee that you won’t get the other before you die a slow and painful death from the first. Not picking one poison, on the other hand, does guarantee that you’ll get the other.

Many Americans seem to be under the impression that if we elect a black president, then this will somehow lessen racial tensions in the country by showing that the country is non-racist enough to elect a black president. In other words, many American…..

The choice is actually worse than that. Even if unemployment and inflation goes up to 10% and an Iranian-backed terrorists crater a medium size US city, if Obama’s approval numbers get anywhere near Bush’s the story will be how racist this country is. And we’ll STILL be stuck with Obama as President.

I’d vote for Colin Powell. Actually I’d prefer him over both candidates right now.
