Wait! Can’t we take a page from the “Duke 88” handbook and explain that while this attack may not have happened, women today are being attacked every day and having their faces mutilated? More than that, it’s not carved. Those are not “knife cuts” by any stretch. They are superficial scratches that did not even break the skin. That was one gentle and considerate mugger.

Based on the totality of the circumstances (lack of evidence, backwardness of carving, carving of a symbol) I’d have to say there’s a 95% chance, at least, that it’s fake.

Any time spent hyping this is worse than wasted because this will blow up in our faces.
