		<description>One, McCain never tried to convince voters that the best thing to do for the economy is &#039;nothing&#039;.

Second, doing nothing is not the right thing to advocate.  Yes, doing nothing is better than doing the wrong thing but it&#039;s not as good as doing the right thing.  And here again, McCain, as well as far too many other Republicans, weren&#039;t offering up anything positive (what exactly, if anything, did McCain do once the carnage started in September?)

thus, it is no surprise that for voters, the Democrats filled the the vacuum created by GOP silence?</description>
