There’s a downside to getting married.

I wonder if any of them bother to notice that we’ve joined with about 30 other states who think marriage ought to be the way it’s always been throughout history.

All this nonsense about “rights” just demonstrates their stupidity. Everyone has exactly the same right: to marry anyone of the opposite sex who’ll put up with them.

There are already laws on the books that extend rights to “domestic partners”. If they think there are any left out, they should push for changes in those laws.

I have to contradict your “they vote no” thesis. That mind-boggling “Rapid Rail” bond issue, $20 billion worth, passed. Forget that these systems, once built, are never self-supporting. Forget that once they start (in 4 or 5 years), large portions of our cities are going to be torn up for a very long time.
