And of course, in 1996, as now, there was a libertarian candidate screwing up the works for the GOP&#039;s guy.  Which reminds me, we really, really, &lt;i&gt;really&lt;/i&gt; need to do away with plurality wins in more places than Georgia (though I tend to prefer IRV to a separate run-off...).
