Barack Obama Is Not My President
He will be soon enough, though, so it’s never too early to begin discussing what we can do (if anything) to prevent his worst ideas from being implemented. Jennifer Rubin has a few ideas of what Republicans can advocate as alternatives, which probably won’t prevent anything from happening in the short run, but may at least set us up for a “we told you so” campaign an election cycle or two down the road. That’s good from a party perspective, but if we want to actually stop anything in its tracks, we’ll need to learn to talk in soundbites. Unfortunately, the best I can come up with are all about at the level of “no way, José” (and who exactly was the original José who inspired that phrase?):
- That’s a crock, Barack!
- That’s insane, Hussein!
- Yo’ mama, Obama!
- Read our lips, no new deal.
Those are the best I could come up with. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come up with something better.
