Free Advice for (Formerly) Great Britain

If you think terrorism is passé, or that the date “9/11″ was chosen at random, then don’t pay any special attention to anything suspicious that may happen in the days, weeks or months leading up to 9/9/9. If you don’t, do.

…but we heard about that 10 years ago, for 9/9/99. Will this be any different?

  2. Xrlq Says:

I don’t remember hearing anything about 9/9/99, but FWIW, 999 has a significance in Britain that 9999 does not. Maybe nothing will happen on 9/9/9, either, just as nothing happened in 9/11/1999, 9/11/00, 9/11/02, etc.

Is 999 the British equivalent of 911 in the U.S.?

  4. Xrlq Says:

Yes. Unfortunately, our own media has a tendency to dumb this down by reporting that someone dialed 911 when of course he actually dialed 999.
