TGirsch links to this gem in which Taunter argues that a 0.5% rescission rate is really a 10% rescission rate because the only people who commit insurance fraud are the ones who have big claims to gain from it. By that logic, one might just as well argue that banks are big meanies because while they only have a tiny fraction of their total “customers” arrested for bank robbery, they have a whopping 10% of those arrested who “withdraw” $100,000 or more in a single transaction.
